Case Study:

Global Biotechnology Company

AU.S. based Pharma company was acquired by a European Pharma company to take advantage of its research capabilities as well as the existing product pipeline. The acquiring company needed to create an effective research and development capability that could develop solutions for both the European and U.S. markets. We created with the CEO a phased organizational design and process that allowed for the integration of distributed research and development and newly acquired organizations into one team. The work involved several iterations of organizational design as well as working sessions with the teams to improve cross country cooperation as well as creating the capability for the organization to innovate “at pace”.” The country cultures as well as the two company cultures we key to the input of successful design of the process in order to get not just the right design but the right “how”  in the way we  engaged people. The resulting product pipeline expanded to include additional drug and drug delivery combination candidates.
